Google Ads Landing Page Checklist
Check message and decision information
Open the destination from the ad preview where possible. A visitor should understand what is offered, who it fits and what happens after enquiry without decoding vague slogans.
- Headline and ad describe the same service or offer.
- Inclusions, important exclusions and applicable pricing context are visible.
- Proof is relevant and approved for public use.
- Contact and business identity are easy to find.
- Primary form or checkout works with clear labels and errors.
- The page loads without a blocking overlay or unusable mobile controls.
Test the conversion path
Submit a clearly marked test enquiry with realistic validation, then confirm delivery to the responsible person. Test a failure case and repeated submission as well. Check that measurement counts the successful action, preserves necessary campaign information and avoids putting personal data in URLs. A thank-you message on screen is not proof that the business received the enquiry.
Choose the next experiment
If visitors understand the offer but abandon the form, inspect the required fields and errors. If enquiries are consistently unsuitable, improve eligibility and expectations before removing all friction. Compare qualified outcomes alongside conversion rate. Keep accessibility, readable contrast and keyboard operation in every version; a visually simpler page should still work for the people expected to use it.
